Fu Guangwei, Executive Vice President of China Textile Engin
On September 26th, the Council of the Asian Textile Society (FAPTA) was held in Keqiao, Shaoxing. Fu Guangwei, executive vice chairman of the China Textile Engineering Society, was elected as the chairman of the 15th Asian Textile Society. The Council of the Asian Textile Society Alliance is an important part of the 15th Asian Textile Conference and the 9th China Textile Academic Conference. The Asian Textile Society Alliance is the most influential Asian international academic organization in the textile industry. It was initiated in 1989 by the Korea Society of Textile Engineers and the Institute of Chemists, with the University of New South Wales, the Chinese Taipei Textile Engineering Society, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Indian Textile Association, the Iranian Amir Kabir University of Technology, the Korean Fiber Institute, Japan. The Fiber Society has jointly established. The Asian Textile Conference (ATC) is an important event of the FAPTA, held every two years and has now developed into one of the major events in the world of textiles. In 2009, China Textile Engineering Society joined the “Asian Textile Society Alliance” and entered the stage of international academic exchanges. In 2013, it successfully hosted the 12th Asian Textile Conference. Founded in 1930, China Textile Engineering Society is the earliest national, academic, popular, non-profit social organization with the social enterprise legal personality established by textile science and technology workers and relevant units. The China Textile Engineering Society unites the majority of textile science and technology workers and has made outstanding contributions in promoting textile science and technology progress, conducting academic exchanges, popularizing scientific knowledge, and cultivating and discovering talents.
